My College Canteen |
Finally, the golden era of my Graduation period ended yesterday after I came out of the Computer Lab at 1.30 PM. :-( The Final Semester went on for 21 days. And I can easily claim that these 21 days were endless and interminable. For once, I thought let's visit Nirmal Baba for getting some solutions on how to reduce 21 days into 21 hours. But then, I came to the conclusion that he will ask me to change my clock and calendar that are placed on the beautiful walls of my home. And I'll end up getting myself thrown away from home for next 21 days as Baba's Kripa. :-) The Final Semester of Graduation was given by me as it was the last opportunity of my life and I wouldn't get a chance to prove myself anytime in future. In the 5 theoretical papers that I gave in this semester, I took 16 Supplements in total. That was meant to motivate myself, the examiner and the classmates. But in return, I got irritating words from the Invigilator who had to get up from her seat and give me supplements again and again and abuses from my friends who got discouraged with each supplement that I took with a wide smile on my face. :-) If it would not have been the exam, my classmates would have shown the world what aggression a real Roadie should have by thrashing me like Gayle thrashes IPL bowlers. Finally, I can say that my Graduation ended on a good note with 16 Supplements, "Good" as a compliment by External examiner who tested my Group Project and the CONCESSION that the External examiner gave me in Practical examination by asking me only the questions on the topic which I asked her to. :-)
The journey of Graduation started on 3rd August, 2009. I still remember the first day of the college when I entered the classroom and found none of my classmates enough attractive to approach. But, with time I got what was needed. I got the attention from the classmates and I jumped into my comfort zone of cracking comments in the class and doing all those activities that a college doesn't want its student to do. And since then, every morning I woke up with hurry- To reach college as soon as possible and sit in those boring lectures to turn them into an interesting one. I repeated all those mischief in my college’s classroom that I used to do in my school's classroom. My college friends enjoyed as it was of their level, but for them it was, for me it was of school's level. :-) Yes, that's my standard in the field of mischief and naughtiness.
But, the very thought that I will not sit with the same classmates under the same roof with the same teachers teaching us dithers me. I never ever thought even during the Final Semester that these friends will be left behind so sooner. But, when I woke up today morning and realized that the college has ended and I don't have to follow the same routine- of dressing up in college uniform, walking for 15 minutes towards Panvel station, catching the 9:16 AM Mumbai Local, then walking again for 15 minutes towards college, sitting in lecture from 10 to 1, having lunch in garden, again sitting in lecture from 2 to 5 and then returning back home in the same overcrowded Mumbai's Local, I felt like shedding tears. Life was so fun with friends from 9.16 AM to 6.30 PM until I reached home back. After coming home and scripting a blog, I only had one thing in mind every night- "When will these hours pass away quickly so that I will get another day to enjoy?"
The College Days has given me an ample amount of happiness, opportunity, confidence, development, achievement, success, love, knowledge, FRIENDS etc. This college gave me the chance to be in Top 5 Performing Students of the class, to be Best in every Presentation session, to give a solo dance performance for the first time in my life(it was also the first time that someone performed solo in my college), to win Mr. Fresher(the opportunity that you get to win only once in your college life), to win Traditional Day for two consecutive years, to win Carrom, Cricket and Volleyball match in tournament, to Host the First Orientation Ceremony that happened in my college and many other such opportunities where I proved myself worthy to be called Mr. Fresher of the college. I never aimed at performing in academics and scoring 1st rank in class but I always wanted to be a participant in every event that my college organized. And I managed to do this and therefore my collegians know me. Otherwise, I am not one of those rapper-kind-of-dudes those are known for their awkwardness in college. :-)
But now, as the college has ended, I find it so difficult to imagine myself entering into a new college for MCA(either this year or next) and proving my worth again in the flock of new college mates. I know I can do it easily but everything takes time. This college became a home and all the people working here as teachers, non-working staffs and college-mates and classmates became the part of my family. I used to think about them almost every time. If ever in future, I get my book published, I would dedicate it to my college-mates because the period when even I didn't had plan of writing a book, these friends started calling me "Blogger" "Writer" "Chetan Bhagat" etc. This encouraged me a lot and I got an idea of taking this forward. And this resulted in me getting a respectable consideration in the Literary/Publishing world of India. Every time a friend personally called me for getting a solution to their problem, I felt so good about myself. Every time a friend looked towards me in class whenever they were asked to take a risky decision by a teacher, I felt so amicable about myself. Every time I was asked for any suggestion in class, I thought I am the most intellectual one. Ok sorry, this was a joke. :-) But, now, there would be no such treatment from the same faces any more in life. The most that I will get from them is a few minutes meeting whenever they'll drop in my town or they'll bang with me in Mumbai Local.
There were very few classmates that I had. I would like to name them for the part they played in my college life. Umera, thanks for making me realize that there's still time (for me) to get into any relationship after those 15 days that happened between us. :-) Shaikh, Tushar, Prasad, Vrushali, Siddhesh, Richa, Sulkshana, Samadhan, Prashant, Archana and Swati for playing respective Cameos in my College Life. Arya for accompanying me in those hang-outs at Inorbit Vashi. Sameer, Vishal, Arun and Manoj for helping me to expand my patience level. And now coming to the best buddies I had in the college life with whom I would like to meet with the same frequency in future too- Saquib- Thanks for being the only guy in the class in whom I found a part of me. Our thoughts match well. :-) Mulani- Only this guy had the potential to make me laugh whenever I was out of funny mood. Gaurav- All's well that ends well. Thanks for ending my Graduation with a good note. Without you, I can't imagine the final semester to be funny and the way I wanted it to be. Prema- It's very difficult for boys to handle the girl who is full of excitement and arguments, but it was very funny to deal with this part of yours. :-) And keep smiling as your smile cherishes people around you. Vandana- If ever in life I will remember the most intelligent girl I met in life, you will be surely in the Top 3 names. Every statement that you made to screw someone is an Epic. :-) And finally, Yusuf- Sometimes it’s hard to speak about the person who has been the closest to you. I am facing the same currently. I can only say that God should give a Supportive Friend like you to everyone. That's all.
This Journey of 3rd August,2009 to 8th May,2012 is the Diamond of my life. And it will shine with the same spark for next 60-70 years till I'm alive. Mentioning 8th May,2012 in the above sentence made a part of my heart scream in tears because I never wanted an expiry date for it. But as it is said- Samay Atcha Ho Ya Bura Ek Din Badalta Jaroor Hai, this had to go one day and it went away yesterday. Bharati Vidyapeeth College- You will always remain special to me. Zaheer sir, Ashwini mam and Nishat mam- Thanks for being those special teachers who really talked to me as they cared about me. Ujwala mam- Never ever meet me again in life, I may end up abusing you. Gajanan sir- Thanks for bearing my wildness. Vaishali mam- Thanks for being the kind of HOD a college needs. I would also like to thank Rishab, Nitin, Richa and Sharon- the seniors who supported me. Asit, Harshad and Shreedhar for being the kind of juniors every senior craves for. And in the end- A Grand Salute to my College Canteen that will remain a Million Dollar picture in my mind. There is no place in this world that is as happier and crazier as you. All the best moments of the college has been spent in Canteen with my dearly friends.
It's enough for the unstoppable nostalgia that is meant to be stopped at one place. It's the time that I should stop this Blog here before it turns out to be a Non-fictional book. :-)
Thanks. And Hoping Best for My Future in MCA Course. A New Life is about to Begin.
