Facebook, Tum Mujhe Delete Kar Doge Agar Kapil Sibal Ko Meri Baatein Pasand Nahi Toh?

            492nd BLOG -->>

           3 months back, I stopped interacting with my parents amicably. They understood that there is something which is killing him from inside and he needs to talk to us. One evening, my father called me and said,"Beta, kya hua bol?" I kept on showing attitude for few minutes but then, I thought,"Aaj bolne ka mauka mila hai toh bol hi deta hun. Ab chahe baat buri lage ya bhali" and I started telling them my problems. I told them that my expenditures have surpassed the amount you give me as pocket-money and hence, I am in the state where I have to isolate myself when my friends plan to hangout for a movie or a mall or a normal snack at a dhaba. I told them that I appreciate your approach of saving money for future but not up to this extent that I'll have to hide myself from my friends because I have no money in my pocket. I need to be as good as my best friends are as I don't want to feel any kind of inferiority because I am not performing any less than them. When I'm delivering my output, I need the same treatment from my parents what they get from their parents. I told them that any day when I'm late at home, mummy starts inquiring and I don't like it. When I have made it sure that I work for project, there should not be any question of doubting me. I am not here to cheat my parents. After I ended all my frustration, I looked at my father with an expecting look and he smiled. He said to mummy,"See, I told you that he has some problems but you said that there is no need of asking him as he is happy with everything in his life". And my mummy passed a smile to my dad too. My father said that you can spend as much you want but I need a promise that you will not misuse the money. I nodded. He said that you can wait till 10 o clock and there will be no question of accusation on you. I nodded. I smiled. I touched my parents' feet and came to my room with a broad smile.

             Last month, we had a Parent-Teacher meeting in my college. Yes, I and my classmates are so stupid that a Parent-Teacher meeting was organized in the final year of Graduation. It was an awkward moment for all of us but still we called our parents as we were said that we will not be allowed for examinations if they don't see our parents on the respective day of meeting. Everyone of us was worried that what are they going to tell our parents about us. We were like- Our position is worst than school kids that our parents are called for a meeting. Our parents entered the conference room and 50 minutes were passed and all of us were blank. We were laughing just to show that we are not scared but everyone of us was shivering. Then, finally, we were called inside. We went and took our seats. We gave a glance to our parents to see what their faces were like. And I found that everyone of them was smiling. I heaved a sigh of relief. Then, our HOD whom people call stringent but I don't feel any strictness in her, asked us to speak our problem. One of my classmate stood and complained about our small classroom and the heat we have to suffer for 7 hours a day because of no cross-ventilation. Then, I stood up and I voiced about the injustice done to us by not providing us details about our project so that we can accomplish it on time. Our HOD heard what we said and she said that action will be taken very soon and she will see to it that everything is in accordance with us in next semester. We left the conference room with a smile of our faces.

           These examples are enough for everyone of us to understand that, once a liberty to speak is provided to us, we can speak our heart out without any hem and hesitation. The issues are resolved if both the parties sit together and discuss the differences. But, what if a victim is forced to sit quietly and suffer all the intentionally and unintentionally committed crimes on him/her? He will either die without saying anything or one day, he will evoke in a violent manner that it will be hard for the criminal to cease him. We are Indians and we are always proud of being a one because we are in a democratic country where we can speak anything what we feel. If we feel our Prime Minister is wrong, we can speak up. If we feel our teacher is wrong, we can speak up. If we feel that our media is foolish, we can speak up. If we feel that the initiative of Anna Hazare is foolish, we can speak up. Just imagine that this freedom is taken away from us !!! I can sense something very weird in my stomach. Hahaha. Aadmi ho ya Aurat, chugli sab hi utni hi karte hain. :-)

           Today, Kapil Sibal said that any derogatory and harmful statements made on the sites like Facebook, Google, Yahoo and Microsoft will be immediately deleted. Initially, he was doing it so that any words against his government and its leaders can be removed. But, when he saw that this may prove what an idiot he is, he started repeating the statement that any statement or image which hurts the religious sentiment of anyone should be removed- either automatically or as soon as the websites are informed about this. I agree to this. Yes, anything which hurts any kind of sentiments related to religion, caste, privilege given, region or class should be banned or removed. But, if a citizen of a country like India wants to speak about his leaders, why are you trying to crunch his views? If someone feels that a mistake has been done by bringing your government in power and he speaks it up, why do you want it to be removed? Mr. Sibal, you don't know one thing that once you'll start dominating people by killing their democracy, there will be 1000 times of the people on road than you saw in the agitation of Anna Hazare from 16th August to 23rd August,2011.

             You and your system feel that monitoring 60 lakhs of C grade government officers for corruption is hard and difficult but monitoring 2.5 Crore Indian on Facebook and 10 Crore Indian using Google is so easy and a high priority task for you. Such a shame !!! I have heard in the evening that the pages from Facebook has already started facing deletion. The "Indian Army Fans" page on Facebook which had about 4 lakh members is deleted today because they were posting Anti-Sibal statements. "Shresth Bharat" with 7000 members and "India against Congress" with 13000+ members are also being deleted. I haven't still heard of any anti-religious group being deleted. And I don't know why Facebook is doing this to impress a minister like Kapil Sibal. Mark Zuckerberg, operate your site as you want and don't be scared of being banned because the number of people who love you are more than number of people who love this Congress ki Sarkaar(in India). :-)

             I am still shocked that how can they stop Indians to state what they want to on Social websites. Rather than working on the problems your citizen have with you, you are closing your ears so that you don't even hear those problems. You have seen the consequences of sending a public voice- Anna Hazare in Tihar Jail. You will face much more in future if this is how you will stop the medium for citizens to speak their problems in public. And I hope that you don't delete my Blog after seeing this post. Nahi toh agla Harvinder Singh mujhe hi ban ke tumhare events pe track rakhna padega aur mauka paatey hi, tumhare mooh pe ek tamacha chapkaana padega. It's enough now. Seriously.

           Thanks. I hope my Blog will be alive after this post. Fingers Crossed.

My thoughts exactly!! Well said! . . . corruption is easier to control than imposing censorship of the likes Sibal is projecting.

Thanks for posting the truth.

I am not satisfied with any solutions proposed by any leaders, Anna Hazare is included. I wrote my own solution which is published at www.NavTantra.org.

I trust people, and so instead of keeping corruption investigation to governments, I propose private & competitive anti-corruption industry. The first draft is published for public review.

After I get enough support, if I ever get, I will launch a political party to make NavTantra a law.

In order to solve India's problems, we need to give people more power, not to take it from them, and NavTantra is offering same.

The question remains not whether your blog will be alive, but whether you will be!?! :) Just kidding, Yar! Thanks for expressing your thoughts and passion for freedom of expression and your candid interactions with your parents! Never ceased to amaze me how parents have an intuitive feel for when their children are troubled…
