Aishwarya Rai - Either Smoke or Suck Lollypop !!!

            352nd BLOG -->>

Guzaarish flopped at the silver screen and the box office but the smoking scene of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan got its momentum. I don't know whether this scene was created for the rifts and controversies but what happened did show that the Indian society can't let women break the rules and barricades meant for them. The germane way is ruled for them and the society can't see women crossing the limits. One woman did it last days on KBC who broke all the barriers of the family and society, participated in the KBC and won 1 Crore - Rahat Taslim. But every woman is not so lucky to break the Line Of Control (LOC) and do what she desires to do.

The self-proclaimed BAAP OF MUMBAI - Raj Thackeray raised fingers on the smoking scene of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Guzaarish. She is the 3rd Bachchan to be targeted by MNS (Main Nahi Sudhrunga) after Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan (Abhishek is still relaxed). MNS may not do anything for the city but they keep an eye over the Bollywood actresses I think. Last time, they went to Kareena Kapoor's house to hand over a Saree to her as she posed nude for a poster of Kurbaan - another flop movie. I think the whole party keeps on roaming here and there in city to check out the posters of new movie and the decency of actresses in the poster. As soon as they find a woman who is showing some manly skill is targeted and sued. They are asked to apologize or the party will show them their indecency in reply of the actress's indecency. Tit For Tat.

Recently, one more actress is seen with a cigarette in her hand in her new movie promo - Rani Mukherjee. Yes, she is the same actress who disguised herself as a Male Sardar in a movie which was seen by her family only. Audiences said that we are happy with the male versions of Navjot Singh Siddhu and Harbhajan Singh. She is targeted by some another party or activists group. She has also dared to little much audacious and she has shown a Middle finger too. Both the actresses - Aishwarya and Rani are the renowned actresses of Bollywood. Aishwarya Rai is popular in all over the world. There are so many girls who follow these actresses. There are so many teenagers and even kids who have their specific favourites and they agree to watch only their movie in the theaters.

I am astonished to see that even when these actresses are renowned and popular, they have no lack of work, they are not into the stage where they will have to compromise, then why do they agree to be wild on screen. The middle finger shown by Rani may be cool or kewl for some teenagers who are raunchy and dudy (came from dude) but it is not appreciated and accepted by many in quantity. It is not the work of quality and thus it is not the work which is commendable and remarkable. When you are a public figure, you should keep in mind that there are many people who admire and follow you. Today, I am a small blogger who is read by some sweet people. I try to write such things which is acceptable. Sometimes I write debatable contents but that doesn't mean that I am influencing people to be negative and weird. That's my point of view to show people that if the things would be in such manner what would have been the condition. But I never share and preach a wrong conduct through my blog because even if 2 people will read my blog, they may follow it which can cause a disaster to my image as a blogger. Why don't this actresses think so?

Is it so necessary to show the actress smoking and if its important can't they blur that part where the actress is shown smoking out the puff. But my main problem is with the actress. I hope in the coming years, our actress will act as matured queens of Bollywood. There are many of us who follow them who can be misguided by their presence on screen in an indecency posture. Suppose Amitabh Bachchan start showing in every film that drinking turns him on and make him energetic, I am sure that thousands of youngster who are following him will start drinking and acting as Bachchan did in the film. I hope this trend of spoiling the parlance of big screen ends and at least actresses keep their images and handles respected else I think MNS does a right thing when they hand the sarees to this actresses and ask for the removal of posters.

            Lets pray for the decency.

Thanks.

U r right..I agree with u.Our public figures,I mean celebraties, whether actors, politicians, leaders etc, have to be decent. They must behave properly, should be ideals for others to follow because many people follow them. They must not do anything which is damaging, not only for their reputation but also for those who follow them.
Ur views r thought provoking & worth consideration.keep it up.congrats.

Ash..smoked in a movie..made a controversy...its bad..and shouldn't be supported..BUT...many other DIVAS have been doing to get the publicity...I don't support women drinking or abusing or smoking...Media and censor board has to do that...but if we see on international platform ....Actresses from India come here and are ready to do anything to get in Hollywood....where is media then?? where is Thackeray on any other A** of similar kind...
My blog on "Words"...exactly shows up other nationalities reaction...to see Indian women being desperate!!

I think you are just as evil as these fundamentalists are. If you are that concerned about these public figures being responsible to their fans, why have you only singled out "actresses"? Not once have you mentioned that the same need to be applied to male actors? And yes, Amitabh Bacchan has acted drunk and excited in a lot of movies....

well.....that anonymous comment was from me. I chose to be anonymous cos I thought (wrongly) that you might not want to know someone who thinks you are one of the biggest bigot that has ever lived. Anyway....let's see if you publish my comment now.

My name is Sushmit Roy Chowdhury....

so buddy at last ur comment got published and ur wrong thoughts towards me as a blogger is proved wrong. I am happy to b called d biggest bigot u have ever seen. Atleast if im not d blogger u havent seen at least i m someone whom u have never seen before.

U r right that i pointed out only actresses. Bcoz i wanted to focus dat why this huge girls n actresses r doing this. Males are prone to drugs and society has almost accepted them with wrong addictions bt v indian have not yet been so modish to accept gals n actresses to be drug addictive. And coming to d Amitabh Bachchan, i just gave an example.. And try to post comment wid ur identity from next time.. And sorry if u felt that i m not having a good point of view..

C'mon grow up!! Criticizing or banning women from smoking or abusing or showing the middle finger on screen doesn't mean that it is not happening in real life.... How actors/actresses conduct themselves in public may be debatable but you can't flog them for representing certain characters on screen when they are based on reality. It's like saying the cops in real life are corrupt because they are represented as such in films or that Kangana shouldn't have done the role of a drug addict in a film as it will encourage people to take to drugs!!!!

In the real world, people do what they fancy... films and TV are just convenient excuses!!

Hi Abhilash,

I can see that the post has invited alot of debate..It is nice n good you are putting your view point...
I dont see the harm in a scene if it is properly disclaimed...and yes it isnt about women only...smoking isnt right, n no fiction should be promoting it until properly disclaimed with parental advice...
However, you have done a good job in this post, it was an interesting read :)
